Four-Player Local Setup
Newgrounds Friendly Rumble supports up to four players on a single keyboard, making it a local multiplayer experience rather than an online one. Each player has a dedicated control set: Player 1 uses arrow keys with J, K, L; Player 2 uses D, A, W, S with F, G, H; Player 3 uses numpad keys 1–7; Player 4 uses Z, X, C, V with B, N, M. This layout lets four people play simultaneously on one computer without extra hardware.
Combat Without Violence
The game is designed for all ages and contains no violence or inappropriate content. Instead of graphic combat, players use quick attacks for fast hits and strong attacks for more powerful moves. Blocking and crouching add defensive options, while jumping helps avoid incoming attacks. The focus stays on friendly competition and outplaying opponents through timing and movement rather than aggressive themes.
Simple Controls, Real Decisions
Every action maps to a single key, so beginners can join quickly. The depth comes from choosing when to use a quick attack versus a strong one, when to block, and when to crouch or jump.
