Defending the Starship
In Orb Defense Arcade Puzzle, you control a starship commander whose vessel sits at the bottom of the screen while threats descend from above. Each incoming object displays a number indicating how many hits it can absorb. Let any object reach the ship and the round ends. The tension comes from deciding which threats to eliminate first, since high-count objects take longer to break and inch closer with every launch.
Launching and Bouncing Orbs
Aiming works through a trajectory line that previews the orb's path. Release to fire. A direct hit removes one hit point from an object, but the real depth lies in ricochets. The physics engine lets orbs bounce off walls and other surfaces, so a single shot can strike several targets in sequence. Chain reactions clear the screen quickly when you read the geometry correctly. After each launch, remaining threats advance, so inefficient shots cost you space.
Power-Ups and Escalating Pressure
Power-ups appear at the bottom of the screen and can be triggered during critical moments. They either clear multiple objects at once or slow the descent of threats. Saving them for when several objects crowd near the ship is a sound habit. The difficulty curve rises as levels introduce different arrangements of obstacles and threats, so no two sessions feel identical. Thoughtful planning matters more than fast reflexes.
Visual Style and Accessibility
The game uses bright, colorful visuals with no violent or mature content, making it suitable for family play. It runs on HTML5 technology, so no downloads or installations are required. Controls are intuitive enough for newcomers, while the increasing complexity gives experienced players a steady challenge. Each level presents a unique layout, rewarding spatial reasoning and mental agility over speed.
